EXCALIBUR II   (Underwater Metal Detector)

Minelab   'Excalibur II'   Underwater Metal Detector

The unique design of the EXCALIBUR II beach and underwater metal detector allows you to use it effectively in or out of the water. Whether working the beach, wading the shallows or diving a shipwreck at 200 feet, the Excalibur II will perform every time.

Powered by Broad Band Spectrum (BBS) technology of 17 frequencies between 1.5 kHz to 25.5 kHz, the amazing depth and accuracy of the Excalibur II continues to amaze long time divers and everyday beachcombers.

The EXCALIBUR II is available in two (2) configurations.      It comes with either an 8” or a 10” search coil.

As the unit is waterproof can be totally submersed to a depth of up to 200 feet, the search coil is direct-wired into the control box.

The 10” model is slightly more popular as it gives a little more (approximately 15%) depth of detection and covers a slightly greater sweep area. The 8” model is slightly lighter and is sometimes more manoeuvrable in tight locations.

The Pin-Point mode represents the All Metal mode and the Disc mode represents the Variable Discrimination mode which can self-adjusted to reject both ferrous (iron) and some non-ferrous metals as required.

A fully charged (sealed) NiMH rechargeable battery pack will operate for around 10 to 12 hours. The charging time is approximately 10 hours.
