RANGER 1000 HAND-HELD
METAL/WEAPONS SCANNER The Ranger 1000 Hand-held Body Security Scanner combines state-of-the-art technology with advanced transmit/receive type circuitry. The unit is completely silent until metal is detected; the Ranger 1000 then sounds an audible alert and flashes a red LED light indicator. Sensitive, rugged and dependable, the RANGER sets a new standard for excellence in hand-held body scanners.

of Metal Detected: The
Ranger 1000 Detector
responds equally well to all types
of metal, i.e., steel, stainless steel, zinc, magnesium and aluminium. Electronics:
Operates with an automatic tuning transmit/receive type circuit. The detection
pattern is tightly controlled to help avoid false alarms from rebar in floors
and other surrounding metal. Operating

Indicators: A high efficiency piezo beeper and LED indicator are used to
indicate the presence of metal being detected. Low
Battery Indication: Once the battery drops down to 6 volts, the unit begins to
operate with a warble tone and flashing light instead of the normal steady tone
and light indicating a low battery. Sensitivity:
At maximum setting the unit will detect a medium pistol at 12”, small pistol
at 9”, razor blade at 5” and a hat pin at 1”. The detector’s sensitivity
can be re-adjusted if required through an access hole in the handle. De-sense
Button: The unit is equipped with a De-sense Button to operate the unit at
reduced sensitivity while the button is depressed. Scan Rate: A subject may be scanned at a rate of 3 to 24 inches per second. Warranty:
