Doug was recognised as one of the leading cartoonists in the
'Australasian Post'
for many years and drew this cartoon especially for us just before he retired. He
drew cartoons for 42 years .... 52 weeks of the year. The
cartoon shows Cedric the bushman, his dog 'Digger', and 'Albie' his old mate. It
is interesting to note that Doug wrote gags for Spike Milligan, Maurie Fields,
Arthur Askey and Jim Berenson and scripts for some early Australian Television shows such as Matlock,
Homicide, Division Four and The Sullivans. Sadly,
Doug has since passed away, but I know he will always be remembered by us all
for his great comic strip and his Australian humour.

is a brand of shoe polish in Australia.

is it !!! ... I've found that treasure chest at last!"
 Be
careful ... you night-time treasure hunters ... you never know who's out there
with you !
Watch
out next time at the airport ... you could be next !
 Even
the ducks cop it .... if they want to fly south for the winter !
